Louise Spear-Swerling, Ph.D.

Louise Spear-Swerling, Ph.D., is Professor Emerita, Southern Connecticut State University, where she taught in the Department of Special Education and Reading and served as the Area Coordinator for the Graduate Program in Learning Disabilities. Her research interests include literacy acquisition, literacy difficulties, and teacher education. She continues her research and writing as well as providing workshops and consulting.  Dr. Spear-Swerling has published numerous articles and several books.
