I have a student that received SPED services that has really blossomed with Reading Horizons Discovery. I noticed how well he was doing with the kinesthetic vowel cues, so my students and I created kinesthetic cues for consonants. These cues for all twenty-six letters have helped him improve on decoding. He gets really excited when we demonstrate our kinesthetic cues with other staff members. I will ask someone to write a word and tell them we will figure out their word without making a sound. He thinks its the coolest game ever.
