I worked at a high poverty school with over three hundred students from post-conflict societies. Some students came in with interrupted or no schooling at all. Consequently, they needed intensive support with building basic foundational skills in reading. I had one particular student from Iraq who came in with zero English. By the end of the school year, she was able to read at a second grade level. Thank you for creating such an empowering and comprehensive reading program for struggling English language learners.
