Reading Horizons Review: Holly Flenner

Reading Horizons has helped many of our students. One student who is a non-reader has been able to finally decode words, break them down and read bigger, more complex words that before the program he could never have even sounded out. He has struggled for years and continues to struggle to read what others take for granted. He still has a long way to go, but the joy that he has experienced this year by simply reading a “hard” word correctly is a huge victory.

Most of my students really struggle or simply dislike reading. Reading Horizons hasn’t entirely remedied that, but it is helping them learn some of the rules or concepts that they possibly missed in elementary school or have forgotten along the way.
